In this guide, we’ll review:


Accessing the reporting module

When you initiate your utilization of EAP Expert Cloud, your system will come equipped with up to 200 standard reports, ready for your use or customization to extract the data you require precisely.

  • Navigate to Insights on the left-hand menu

  • Select Reports

  • Reports can be conveniently searched by keywords using the text to-search box in the upper right-hand corner of the 'Report' module

  • Additionally, reports can be sorted based on any of the following column headings:

    • Report Name: Based on the report's name, you can sort ascending or descending. To sort alphabetically, click on the column heading.

    • Category: This indicates the classification or grouping of reports. Utilize the filter icon on the column heading to narrow down and extract specific categories of information.

    • Data Type: This denotes the data source within EAP Expert Cloud. Use the filter icon on the column heading to specify and retrieve particular data subsets.

    • Parameters Object Type: This is the set of criteria or variables that can be customized or adjusted to tailor the report's output according to specific needs or preferences.

    • Description: This summarizes or explains each report's content and purpose. This column heading allows you to quickly sort and organize reports based on the descriptions, facilitating more straightforward navigation and identification of the desired report.

    • Created On: This field displays the creation date of the report.

    • Modified On: This field indicates the date the report was last updated.

  • To run an existing report, click on the correct row from the search result list

    • Enter report parameters, if applicable, to specify the desired level of information to include.

  • Click the Preview button to run and preview the report

    • Use one of the buttons to export or share the report outside of EAP Expert Cloud:

      • Print: Use this button to send the full report to a physical printer or save it as a PDF in the desired location.

      • Print Page: Utilize this button to print a selected page from the report.

      • Export To: Select from various file formats to export your data.

  • Click the Close button to exit the report and return to the Report Module

Note: Reports can be tailored to your preferences, allowing you to include or exclude specific data and adjust the presentation style. This customization extends from the information displayed to aspects such as incorporating your company’s brand colors and fonts and arranging the sequence of information.

Utilizing module search and export functionality

Each module has searchable fields, enabling you to swiftly find specific data within EAP Expert Cloud without generating a full report. Furthermore, results can be seamlessly exported into various file types for further data manipulation and analysis.

Let’s review a standard search:

  • Navigate to the Organization/Groups Module

  • Use one or more available fields in the search screen to populate the information you are seeking

    • For instance, you can locate your name within the 'Account/Program Manager' field, ensuring the 'Active' checkbox is selected to display only accounts you are assigned to with an active contract in your company.

  • Enhance your results by adding more criteria and clicking Search, or start fresh using the Clear Search button

  • To export the search results, select a row and click the Export button to access the 'Export To' file options

Note: While you can select individual line items, the Export feature, when activated, exports all data included in the search result list.

  • Ensure to save your exported data securely

  • Clear your search or exit the module once you've finished


Troubleshooting Information

Listed below are some tips to assist with using the Reports module:

  • Check Your Permissions: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access and run reports. Sometimes, access rights can affect your ability to view or generate reports.

  • Verify Report Parameters: Double-check the parameters you've set for the report. Ensure they are accurate and aligned with the data you want to retrieve. Incorrect parameters can lead to empty or inaccurate reports.

  • Review Printer Settings: Check your printer settings if you have trouble printing reports. Ensure that the correct printer is selected without printer connection issues.
