Your team can create tailored executive summary templates for utilization reporting. Elevate your insights and impress clients with professional, data-driven reports that stand out.
In this guide, we’ll review the following:
Adding a new executive summary
By incorporating a template into the Executive Summary Utilization Report section, you can include information preceding the metrics and craft summaries tailored to the specific groups you support.
Navigate to Insights on the left-hand navigation menu
Click on Utilization Report
Choose the 'Organizational Details' option that best suits the summary you wish to include
Note: You must make a selection here to enable editing to the ‘Executive Summary’ section.
Click on the magnifying glass icon in the field ‘Include Executive Summary Template’
Next, click on the green New button from the search pop-up to add a new executive summary
In the ‘Title’ field, quickly enter a recognizable name for you or your team to identify in the future. This title will be displayed in the dropdown list under 'Executive Summary'
Click on the magnifying glass icon in the ‘Template’ field to begin entering a standard template
After adding templates to your EAP Expert Cloud, you can quickly select them for future use when creating new executive summaries.
Next, click on the green New button to enter your text for the executive summary template
Click OK when complete and then select it for the ‘UR Executive Summary,’ and press OK again
Utilize spacing and the rich text toolbar to facilitate formatting the text within the executive summary
Tip: Personalize your templates using field names from EAP Expert Cloud within curly braces or braces “{ }.”
Below are some common placeholders you can incorporate into your templates.

When complete, click OK to save your changes to this summary
The executive summary template will now be available in the search for existing summaries, making it easier to select from
Edit an existing executive summary
To edit an existing executive summary template, follow these steps:
Navigate to Insights on the left-hand navigation menu
Click on Utilization Report
Choose the 'Organizational Details' option that best suits the summary you wish to include
Note: You must make a selection here to enable editing to the ‘Executive Summary’ section.
Click on the magnifying glass icon in the field ‘Include Executive Summary Template’ to find the template you wish to modify
Begin typing in the open field or click the magnifying glass icon to search all templates
Click OK to select the template and return to the Utilization Report section
Ensure the correct template is listed in the field, then click on the pencil icon located to the far right to initiate editing
Feel free to adjust the name, template, or formatting as needed, then click OK once you're done to apply your updates
The modifications have been successfully saved to this executive summary template
Removing an executive summary from the dropdown list
Removing a template provides a simple solution for instances where a template is no longer needed or requires deletion. This streamlined process ensures efficient template management.
Navigate to Options on the left-hand menu navigation
Click on Program Options, and select the Generic tab
Next, click on the sub-tab named Removal, then ensure the UR Executive Summary Template tab is viewable
Locate the executive summary template you wish to remove from your EAP Expert Cloud system
Check the box to select the correct template and click on the red Delete button
Important: Exercise caution when utilizing the delete feature, as it permanently removes the executive summary from your system.

Ensure Proper Permissions: Ensure you have user permissions to manage executive summary templates. Contact your system administrator(s) if you encounter any issues with permissions.
Double-Check Template Details: When adding or editing a template, carefully review the template name, content, and formatting to ensure accuracy before saving the changes.
Seek Assistance: If you can't resolve the issue independently, don't hesitate to contact your system administrator(s) or the Service Desk. They can provide guidance and troubleshooting steps specific to your software environment.
